@Peacekeeper. thank you so much for this informations and wish you all the best. i will check both options and try to call them next week. hope to hear some good news.

@Zondone. Indeed, Hangouts doesn't work from Morocco. Basically you have 2 reliable options:
1/ Skype Credits. You can either put some money in it and call, or you can buy an unlimited plan which allows you to call US and Canada with no limit. I think it's 9.99$/month. It's the option I have.
2/ Use your mobile phone. If you have a large enough plan which can allow you to go through the long waiting lines (30-45mn), just use your mobile phone, as Canada is under "Zone 1", at least with Maroc Telecom. So what it means is that for each minute you call, 1 minute is deducted from your plan, just like if you're calling someone locally. Unlike France for example, where each minute used is deducted as 5 minutes from your plan...
Cheers.
hi guys, hope you are doing well with this hard wait. im a september AOR and just wanted to call CIC to know what's the current statut of my application. but found that from morocco the famouse application Hangouts dialer is not working. please can somone here tell me how you guys manage to call CIC?
thanks in advance n good luck.

@venustus. It's true to some extent, although it's hard to know exactly by how much the application can be delayed.
When they trigger RPRF payment request, it is commonly said that the application goes into another queue, awaiting payment before continuing processing. The additional wait can be 1-2 months...
CIC website clearly states it's recommended to pay RPRF upfront to avoid additional potential delays.
You can go ahead and pay it now, no need to wait for request.
Ask @tobs on the forum for the steps, that's what he did.
Hello, Glad to hear the good news for you guys.
Can anyone tell me how not paying upfront permanent residence fees would affect my application ?? As I chose not to pay them upfront and now I hear from people that the application will be delayed because of that , by a couple of months...Is that correct ?

I also have the same situation, called twice this month and i ve been told that my eligibility is "recommend pass", but the third time an agent told me the same thing as you,  that my application is still in progress and didn t wan to say the recommend pass! I am afraid that he sow somthing wrong on it.

@abdelilah.
Yeah thanks good news indeed.
Called to make sure everything was in order with no red flags, and asked if I could inquire about the status of eligibility. At first she said "in progress", but by insisting a bit more she said "yeah recommended pass is there in the notes for eligibility, but I always prefer to tell applicants that it's in progress because that's the actual status, and a lot of people get confused with all the stuff they find online." :D Was a funny conversation.
How did you know for the eligibility ? big achievement that your eligibility is marked 'recommended pass'

@Venustus
Not yet, except for knowing eligibility is in recommended pass, but still technically in progress.
Patiently waiting. Not expecting anything before 6 months mark ;).
