Hi James congratulations! do you mind me asking you a few questions in private? I am also on immigration forum: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/members/elvaxiaobai.897400/ (not sure if you can tell but in anxious mode...) many thanks!

Hi, akritibahal, We had applied separately for temporary residence permits (having two different applications is fine). I think the way to contact the Ottawa VO right now is through a Web form (Case-Specific Enquiry). That's how I let them know about our change of address. If you've moved from outside to inside Canada, it might be good to remind them that the Country Of Residence fields need to be updated too.

How did you get temporary residence permits? Where do we update in our application - FSW-Outland to FSW-Inland?

Congrats!!! I can only imagine hoe frustrating the drawn out wait times can be.

No news, I'm afraid. I've requested new GCMS notes and have been calling IRCC every two weeks. They've said my case is still assigned to CPC-Ottawa.

Any news on your application after you updated your country of residence?

According to the call center, our "Country of Residence" fields hadn't been updated when we had notified IRCC of our new Canadian address. That meant we were still in one of the processing queues that was delayed by COVID-19. At their suggestion, I e-mailed the Ottawa VO on Sep. 2 to have them update those fields.
