Hi AnthonyAdam,

Sorry I completely forgot I was tracking my case here. My process is complete and I’ve updated my profile with the complete timeline.

Cheers

Hello AnthonyAdam,

That is true, The FP person told the same. They are seeing random request and it has nothing to do.

Although with the FP request the application gets pushed by additional 2-3 months at best.

Lets hope for the best. Happy to connect with you over whatsapp / text if you'd like to track the status :)

Thanks,
Nitash

Hey love4Canada,
The IRCC hasn't specified who qualifies for FP request other than stating sections from the Citizenship Act  "The Citizenship Regulations require that we verify that applicants are free of any prohibitions from a security and criminal standpoint."

What I have opined is based on the feedback of those who got FP request and my own case.

For all that maybe, IRCC is randomly picking candidates for FP request :)

Cheers!

Hello AnthonyAdam,

My spouse also received a fingerprint request. We submitted this about 30 days ago.
This is a very normal + routine step.

What's weird is : Only her fingerprints were requested , not mine.
Even though we both have NOT gone through Biometrics during PR phase.

Hope this helps!

If you have already given your biometrics during PR application, the chances to get the request are low. If there is any personal information changes since you can expect a Fingerprint request
