USCIS stopped accepting walk-ins some time ago. I heard from someone on this site that some USCIS locations may still entertain walk-ins, depending on the state/city they are in.
I tried going down to my center a week before my appointment, but they refused to take my biometrics then.
It does not help that you can't actually call the specific USCIS location. The number you get by searching online will be a national helpdesk that will give you canned answers to all your questions.

My suggestion is that you can try to go in before your appointment date, if it does not cost you too much in terms of time and money. Be prepared to be asked to return on your appointment date, though.

Does anyone here know if USCIS is processing walk in requests for Biometric ?
it does not make sense waiting for 14 days.

That's amazing! Thanks for responding.
I see that your biometrics are done, as well. Please keep us posted when there are any changes to your application status.
We have similar AOR dates (May 24 for me), so it's good to know that they're processing applications quickly.

Hi Man, Any updates? When did you get your biometrics done? My Biometrics was submitted on 07/19.

@sumanthvn : i was surprised about that. however i did some reach and found there were a few profiles that have followed that path.
