August 6, 2019 (I am tired, previous post should be August too and not April)
Today marks three months overdue, or exactly 92 days.

First morning check after the long weekend and nothing new on the PR application. My spouse's bridging open work permit got approved late Friday April 2 with the same expiry date as mine on January 31, 2020.

The review of additional documents that was in progress changed to Not Applicable. Hopes high. Fingers crossed.

35 minutes talking to a call centre agent and no big news except that I am exempt of giving biometrics given that I've been living in Canada for the last 10 years (one less step!). The agents on the phone don't have access to information regarding criminal checks, they don't know to what federal agency (CBSA or CSIS) the task goes to. I brought up the 2018 cases left to wait and how fast 2019 cases are going, but she could not comment much about it but caution that forums like this one are not accurate (which I mentioned during my question). She confirmed my primary visa office is still Halifax and secondary Montreal, the move has not happen yet and I will update my case here.

On the phone with them again at this very moment. Trying to confirm they received latest documents submitted. And see if I can get more info about anything.

They keep saying they have backlogs because they are understaffed and yet I don't see any difference in processing times for 2019 applications. They're all getting processed at rocket speeds while 2018 applications are left to rot in hell!! My application hasn't been touched since May 2019. Meanwhile, 23 applications from May 2019 have received PPR!! That must be some strange backlogs that are only affecting 2018 applications.

I noticed it too. Also, new applications finalizing in 40 days. Ridiculous! I cannot understand what possibly can take this long. Almost 50 days since criminality started for me, my only guess in my case is there are nearly no applicants from my country.

I noticed they're processing January, February, March and April 2019 applications now. Seems like we should be prepared for long wait.

July 30, 2019 (evening)
Call again to IRCC to confirm some of the information from the GCMS notes. Everything is still the same. Nothing new from the last 46 days since the notes were generated.
Agent confirmed MP called on July 10th and again on July 30th.
