Ghost update on Dec 28th 2020. Medical exam message is back to initial value of "You do not need a medical exam".

Quick update. I received a second set of GCMS notes today. 
Eligibility: Passed (that was the GU on Sep 9) 
Security: Redacted (probably passed too) 
Criminality: Passed 
Medical: Passed 
Info Sharing: Complete 
The latest note reads ***PACE*** FINDEC pending. That probably means the final decision is pending, in IRCC jargon.

Sure thing, ChaBaDouBa! I remember IRCC extending delays to give biometrics during the first lockdowns six months ago. VACs are closed to the public for now in Brazil. Hopefully they'll open again soon to give biometrics. All the best!

Hi Tapioca, thank you for your answer, we received the biometrics letter but all the VACs centers are closed in Brazil, so we are worried that it will delay our application. I will check the Canadavisa website out and see if there is any information. Thanks!

Hi ChaBaDouBa, it depends on your situation; ie If you gave your biometrics to IRCC in the last 10 years, whether they already asked you to submit them, or even if you're still waiting for the request letter. I know IRCC needs biometrics to run mandatory security background checks. I recommend you to ask more people on www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/ 
I use this forum a lot and information found there helped me jump through the hoops after two application refusals.
