@sivkee: seems like that.. I hope it does not exceed 6 months..

Between: I called CIC again yesterday and this time the call went through. The agent provided the same update as it was the last time. They are still processing the case.. background check going on. Don't need anything from my end so far. I have ordered GCMS notes which are expected to arrive Sep 15.

let's hope for the best

@sloth: Is there a whatsapp chat group for May-June AOR?

Since it is summer, the Sydney office might be short-handed I guess.

@apurvak: That is the official timeline. But the trends just before our AOR(May) showed people getting PPRs in 90-100 days. I know a few people(4-5), with similar AORs as ours, who got PPR in 80 days. So that sets the expectation. But my experience with different chat group makes me believe that CIC-Sydney specifically is either too swamped with applications or having fewer resources which is delaying everyone's application. Let us hope for the best and hang in there tight. Please stay and in touch and keep updating.

@sloth: I thought the standard timeline is 6 months...isn't that true?

May be everyone is getting impatient now and trying to call. We all have crossed the regular timeline :(

@sloth: no update :( I tried calling CIC... it constantly says busy.. not sure whats going on.
