Is Adjustment of Status from Visa Waiver to Lawful Permanent Resident possible?

Answer:

This is applicable only for  immediate relatives of U.S. citizens who are the beneficiaries of an immediate-relative petition and file an adjustment of status application within the 90 day authorized period.  
 
Apart from that any other alien cannot file an adjustment of status from VWP status. A person who enters on VWP cannot adjust status to lawful permanent resident status Green Card holder while in the U.S. By entering on VWP since the alien admits to the Border Protection Agent that he/she does not intend to stay in the United States yet If he/she intend sto stay in the United States, he/she is considered ineligible for the VWP
