Who is eligible to file for I-485 Application to Adjustment in Status?

Answer:

Applicants who are currently inside the United States and have an approved Immigrant Petition may be eligible to file an application to Adjust Status to Permanent Resident.  
 
If the applicant is applying in a category for which visa numbers are always available, an applicants priority date must be current in order to be eligible to file for I-485
