Priority processing applications are accepted ONLY at some Australia post outlets.  I did at 1 Martin place which is close to wynyard station. You have to apply between 9 and 11 am to forward the application to passport office on same day. You can directly go to passport office and apply if you want . Passport office is just outside central station

I got the citizenship certificate on 20th and I applied for passport at Australia post on 21st . It is taking atleast 6 weeks if we apply normally so I felt it is risky given I am flying out in December.  What you need is, 
1.Application form  
2. 2 Photos - One signed by guarantor at the back. You can use the same Photo which was used while applying for citizenship.  
3. We have a form to be filled by guarantor in the Application.  
4. If you have kids, both parents have to sign and it has to be signed by a witness. 
 
Please Note, Your Citizenship Certificate Number is on the backside of Certificate starting with ACC . 
 
I think you can also apply online but check for the details .

Just got the invitation for ceremony for 17th November

Looks like they cleared the backlog atleast till Oct 5th as I know one person who got approved on 5th Oct and received ceremony invite. Just want to let you know if anyone of you have travel plans , i got the passport in 2 days using priority processing . Applied on 21st and received mail to collect passport on 24th.

I just got the ceremony invite for November 17th

Ok..I think we will get it in 1st week of November
