Hi Nishish. I completed my skills assessment in April 2018. I submitted all of my qualification documents from my degree and was issued with a skills assessment within 8 weeks. For proof of my work experience I uploaded all of my payslips and Contract documents to the Immi Account portal to be checked, I didn't need to have these documents checked by Engineers Australia.

Hi Cnflwy. I have double checked my invitation to apply from NSW and it does say that we need to commit to living and working in NSW for at least the first 2 years.

Hi Caplau. The points system is changing in November. You will then get an extra 10 points for not having a skilled partner, the newsletter from Iscah is good to keep an eye on:

Hi Cnflwy. The only restrictions on the NSW 190 visa is that we have to live and work in NSW for the first 2 years and then after that we can move to anywhere in Australia. Good luck with your application :)

Hi Amie,

I trust things are well. Just wondering, was there any visa restrictions to the 190 once it got granted?

Thank you

Thanks, unfortunately stuck at 65 + 5 with a couple years to go until I get an additional 5 for work experience.

Hi Caplau - I gained an extra 5 points because I now have 3 years work experience which I didn't have when I first submitted my application in Dec 2018. Also, my partner's skills have now been certified (he is a teacher) so we gained another 5 points from this. My total points are now 75 or 80 with NSW sponsorship. After receiving an invite and uploading all of my documents I got the approval back from NSW for the pre-invite within a week. I'm now in the process of completing the full application for the 190 visa. Good luck with your application :) Amie

Hello Amie,

Can you clarify the circumstances of your points and receiving a pre-invite from NSW?

You had a EOI in December at 65 points (plus 5 for State Sponsorship) but did not receive an invitation until your points went up to 75 in April?

Thanks
