I did contact IRCC and have also requested for the GCMS notes. They told me that the application is in progress. They did not specify a reason for the delay but yes they did tell me that my visa office is "Edmonton" which I guess is famous for slow processing.

Hey, has there been any request for additional documentation/info on your application? Did you request gcms notes on your case, or call IRCC agents and try to find out what the reason for this delay is?
