Hi Nishi, can you please get your Visa office confirmed and update it here? This would really help everyone to understand the actual timeline based on Visa Office.

I was not able to call the number from the US. I had tried using regular phone calls, 2nd line and Google Hangouts. You could try these apps yourself, though, just to double check. These apps used to work for me up until last year. Nowadays, when I want to call CIC, I ask a friend who lives in Canada to make the call and add me on conference.

Hi Sumanth, I have a followup question. How can you call CIC from USA. After going through a couple of options the IVRS says "This toll free number is not available in your country". I tried google hangouts and got the same message.

Yes, the decision can come sooner. But as you can see from the tracker, it can also take significantly longer than the ETA shown on your account profile. There are some people waiting for their PPR since before Dec 2018.
Once you submit your biometrics, I'd suggest giving CIC a call some time about a month or two later. You can ask about which visa office is processing your case, and about whether there has been a date set for your application's review by a case officer.

Yes my appointment is booked for 24th July 2019. How long does it take after that for further progress. My ETA is 1st December since my AOPR is June 1st, but do you think the decision can be made sooner.

Those 2 things (medical exam pass, and request for biometrics) come as 2 separate updates. That's why you got two emails saying there have been updates to your profile. Also, there is a delay between the time that the update is done on the profile, and the time that the email is sent to you (it was about 8 hours for me).
You should book an appointment with your nearest VAC/ASC so you can have your fingerprints done as soon as possible.

I got the update on medical and received Biometric request on Jul 10th. Then I got a mail again on 11th July saying my application has been updated but there was no update on profile, what does this mean?

The next step after your current application status is for medicals to be approved.
The "You do not need a medical exam." text will change; login to your profile regularly to stay updated.
Also, make sure you have the email account that's linked to your profile logged in on your phone or other mobile device.
You will receive a request to submit biometrics right after your medical exam is approved.
