Hi Nick, I can see from the tracker that your visa grant date is 6 months from the docs requested date.  Could you plz let me know why.  I am also waiting for a decision and my doc requested date is 5 Sep 2019 and its been more that a month since i submitted them.  Is it normal for the embassy to take such a long time, or should i expect it anytime soon.  Many Thanks.

Oh yes I do remember u had told. Ok for my wife she had been on a 6 moths visa followed by an extension (from Aus) for another 6 months (till dec 2019). anyway now she is coming back on partner. Yes u will definitely get through this time .
some tips

show incentive to return - (like a job offer , savings , investments )
return ticket 
ur sponsor's aus Bank statement 
make sure in the invitation letter u specify the following 
 - 1 . tourist purpose (mention some name of places, passes , match tickets  etc)
-2  strong reasons to state that after marriage u have been living apart -so need to support your spouse morally , deepen  ur martial relationship, and engage in household and financial support 
3- add another invitation from a friend who is PR/citizen in Australia who would invite to come and stay with fro sometime to visit and tour (mention places as above)

with these reason ur intending to visit for a specified period (start with a 3 months request) - if 6 months ensure u do medical
I am sure ur visa WILL NOT GET REJECTED ! :)

Wow! U remember my visitor was refused twice. I am also expecting it’s coming anytime soon. I had front loaded the documents.. did u have any call come through? Was your straight forward case??

My wife was in Australia when we got the mail from DFAT on July 1st requesting her to leave Aus in 28 days for the decision to made. we made the arrangements, replied to the mail, and she landed India on 20th. got the grant on Monday 22nd. No other docs were requested (the first CO mail was on 18-Jan-2019 asking all required docs). Let me know if you need any more details

my partner is an australian citizen not me.. i am in india since last july and unemployed.. we got married in australia last year may and we applied for visitor in july 2018 which got refused then we lodged our partner visa in nov 2018 and march 2019 i tried again for visitor which got refused due to same reason.. unemployment. i hope that gives you some clarity.

So if I understood correctly - your visa is getting rejected because (1) you are unemployed . I did not understand the second reason though. Also are you yourself currently in Australia? When did you get your PR? This will help to correlate with any similar case with my friends (who came on PR and living here and then applied for partner visa for their spouse)
