Hey,

WOW, you are the first person that I see who is waiting longer than me... I applied in March 2019 ... so your last CO contact was in Jan 2020, and now they contacted you again in August 2022 ?
I still haven't heard anything from them .... this is soooo frustrating.
Good luck to you, though.

HI Darwinonshore: got a 2nd (or 3rd really) CO contacting asking for full translation of divorce settlement and 1229 signed by both bio parents... that is where it is right now, submitted docs now waiting for response.

Hi any update on your case?
Posted byDarwinonshoreDarwinonshoreover 4 years
I am somewhat dumbfounded as to why it is taking so long, seeing as how thoroughly vetassess went through my documentation, and how there is absolutely no criminal record or any fabricated document or anything like that. I am being told that since I wasn't employed they are sorting through the bank statements and audited financial statements etc, having trouble sorting out the EVA way of taxation... it's just been what seems like an unreasonable long wait at this point. Also the fact that there is complete radio silence is very frustrating. Also the fact I received 2 CO contacts in one day doesn't much put my mind at ease, that my case is being handled with the utmost professionalism. It is what it is I guess.

Yeah, I am not overly concerned about process itself, but I would not want to deal with uncertainty for an extended time period like you have to. Also, I'll have to pay 300 bucks on a bridging visa every time I leave the country, which would be a large sum for me.

If you finally get the PR, let's have a beer in Syd.

You've got a bridging visa so it doesn't much matter I guess...

What a lovely choice for a nickname. Maybe they understood what it means so they asked for more docos to attach :)? I hope I won't go through the same pain as you do though.
Posted byCsadCsadover 4 years
No, it is not the same. Best of luck to you and yours
