Yes, I called that number from US. I used hangouts application to call CIC. I was not sure whether I could call normally and hence I used Hangouts. It worked though.

@shan811: Thank you so much for all the info! One last question... did you call CIC from USA? I am wondering we have to use hangout even when calling from USA?

Sorry I forgot to mention.

Be specific and ask what all information you need. I wrote down my questions and asked the agent one by one. The lady over the phone was really patient in answering all my questions.

I asked about my wife's biometrics, eligibility check status, criminality check status, security check status and the Visa Office.

Yeah, I checked the estimator based on Medicals to PPR and it showed
Best case - August 2, 2019
Average case - October 8, 2019 and
Worst Case - June 11, 2020.

When I checked the estimator based on my NOC which is 2174 it says 85 days.

I found the below details when I did some research over the weekend. Gave it a try this morning. It worked and the wait time was somewhere between 13-16 minutes.

@sloth & @shan811: have you guys tried the analytics report on this website. Immitracker provides with an estimated PPR date based on your AOR date. Since my AOR was May 1, my estimated PPR date is Aug 30.. hopefully I get i by then or may be even sooner :) 

What about you guys?

@shan811: how did you get through with the call? I tried calling this morning and they have this recorded message saying that we cannot provide update on phone.. 

I applied from US. When you called... did the agent tell you all these specific details?

I forgot to ask the agent about the dates for the individual phases. I am planning to call them once again after 10-15 days. Hope out security check would start by then.

The agent said this is the last step remaining. Hopefully security check starts soon and we receive our PPRs.

@shan811: I applied from the USA. Do you know the dates when the individual phases passed? I believe you, me and ApurvaK are among the ones with similar timelines. Hope to see some movement for us soon.

Security - not started yet.
VO - Sydney, Nova Scotia

Where did you guys both apply from? India or USA? I applied from the US.
