@shan811, @sloth: tried ordering GCMS notes. it takes about 3-4 weeks to get the detailed notes which give you in-depth status of your application. I am going to order them today.We ordered them at the time of my fiance's application too and they were super helpful.. he was able to identify that there was something missing/wrong in his financial documents.

@shan811: Yes, they recently added this message to stop people from calling CIC offices. I would try calling the same number again after few days. 

@sloth: that is great. When I called, they didn't even share that much info with me. It depends on the immigration officer who answers the call. In my fiance's situation, his case was approved a while ago but he wasn't informed either via email or any other way. Sometimes even though your case is approved, you won't know until PPR is issued.

did you contact CIC from the US? If so how did you contact them? I tried to reach the number 613-944-4000 using Hangouts but there's a message saying they could not provide info about PR and immigration.

Thank you, Apurva. I got the following information from CIC. I still dont know what is the status - meaning if it is very close to completion or still will take time. Thanks again for your help.

Called CIC today and got the following information:
Is Eligibility met When? : Yes, 07/10
Is Criminality Passed When? : Yes,  08/01 
Which Canadian immigration office do I have to send my passport after PPR is received? :CIO -Sydney or Ottawa. Confirmed from Ralph’s office, its Sydney 
"Security checks have not been initiated." What is needed from my end ? :not started yet. no further information is required from my end

Thanks for the reply, Apurva. Could you please tell me how to contact CIC from USA. I cannot get through and get message "The toll free number is not applicable to your area". I tried google hangouts and get the same message.

@Sloth: No update yet. They are processing the application; BC in process. I called CIC two weeks ago and they didnt provide any specific update. I have heard that sometimes even though the application is approved, they don't update the application until PPR stage arrives..

Biometrics status got updated as complete

Yes. Medical passed. Biometrics done on June 28.. but still showing on the application that "we did not receive your fingerprints"
