yes, I called them a couple of times and felt that the agent was furious because I called them :) . In my last call, a couple of weeks ago, they mentioned everything is passed, but she didn't confirm if it is approved or not. Wondering if you by any chance got such an update during the process, and what to interpret from that reply?

Yes I called CIC but that doesnt affect anything. Processing happens in its own time. But atleast I got a relief to know the status by calling them.  
If you havent called. Just call them and get an update.

Congratulation @Kpatel1989... Did you receive any ghost updates or any updates by calling CIC agent during this period? If you can plz share some insight, will be much appreciated. Thanks

No. According to the criteria. A valid job offer needs to be under LMIA or the job be exempt from LMIA. And the job has to be for Atleast 1 yr. but.  I dont have a LMIA so that clause doesnt apply to me. 
I have stated that I have a job offer which is my current job but that is not included in my points.

Did you update your letter of employment? I didnt claim the 50 points either. So I am not sure I need a definite time on my letter of employment
